Sr. Pastor Donnie White

Donnie is a life-long resident of both Fayette and Jessamine Counties in Kentucky.  A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a degree in Church Music, he has served in ministry for most of his adult life.  In 2015 he completed ministerial studies in connection with Kentucky Baptist Convention and Dr. Derek Coleman and was ordained into pastoral ministry. Within weeks of being ordained, he found himself serving as pastor of another local church. Donnie was called back to Gardenside Baptist Church in 2018 for a second time as Minister of Praise and Worship.  In 2020, he was chosen to be the Senior Pastor by Gardenside Baptist Church.

MEET THE WHITE FAMILY – Donnie’s wife Vicki works as a billing and coding specialist with Baptist Health. Married for 36 years, these childhood sweethearts have three grown children and five lovely grandchildren.

Steven O’Donnell

Steven is our Property Chairman.  He works relentlessly to ensure that both our building and property are in impeccable condition.  Steven is an irreplaceable volunteer and we are thankful for the many hours he spends here at GBC helping out!

John & Mary Johns

John and Mary have graciously volunteered to help out with our accounting department.  Mary is our Church Treasurer and John is our Finance Committee Chairman.  We are thankful and blessed to have them helping us in this area!

Shirley Humphreys
Shirley is our pianist. A child prodigy on the piano, Shirley dazzles us with her talent each service. There isn’t anything she can’t play on the piano and in any style requested. God surely blessed GBC when He gave her to us!

Cathy Calhoun

Cathy’s adventure with the piano began at the age of four. She received a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Arts in Secondary Education  degree from the University of Kentucky. Cathy has taught piano and music theory lessons in her private piano studio since 1973. She has taught music and keyboards for students in Kindergarten through 12th grade in several private and public schools during her career. She feels blessed to be a part of the Worship Music Team at Gardenside Baptist Church.
